A Shakespearean comedy | An award-winning drama | A grand musical
March 2015
TO SAM PURUSH NA MO SAM NAARI

An adaptation of Shakespeare's 'The Taming of the Shrew', in Hindi/Bundelkhandi with super-titles in English
Shakespeare comes to Bundelkhand through this ageless comedy, an adaptation of his `The Taming of The Shrew'. Baptista Minola has two daughters — one a paragon of virtue, the other given to biting off a man's head at the slightest provocation. Can this `shrew' find a man equal to the challenge of being her husband? Once she is out of the way, will her younger sister be able to marry the man she loves?

RABBIT HOLE

By David Lindsay-Abaire, in English
A couple in Palo Alto struggle to come to terms with a tragic loss and make a life with the family that remains. Winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Lindsay-Abaire's play is a witty and improbably funny exploration of grief and bereavement. It was also made into a film starring Nicole Kidman, who received nominations for an Oscar and a Golden Globe.

VRINDAVAN

A grand musical by Sujit Saraf, in Hindi with supertitles in English
Our 50th production, and our most ambitious play in 20 years! In Vrindavan, City of Widows, 12 feisty widows live in Krishna consciousness and raucous celebration until a Bollywood actress arrives to disrupt their lives. Based on recent events, Vrindavan is a grand musical, juxtaposing the colorful love of Radha and Krishna with the stark existence of Vrindavan widows, and told through humor and wit, the songs of Meera Bai and the gyrations of Bollywood songs in a fantastic, make-believe world. The play features spectacular sets, costumes and lights, along with live music and dance by professional companies.
Plus staged readings and more... (stay tuned)
