Set in Mumbai, Rashomon is an account of events that transpired on the day a woman is raped and her husband killed, as seen by everyone involved, directly or indirectly. The two stories on which this play is based were adapted into Akira Kurosawa’s celebrated Japanese film, considered one of the most influential films ever made.
Aided by elaborate fight sequences and a series of flashbacks, the play unfolds over one fateful stormy evening, accompanied by live music and martial arts demonstrations.
